Prayer House

Psalm 91:1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

At Heavenly Peace Prayer House we believe that prayer is the way that we fellowship with God and also how He ministers to us.  We want to model, teach, equip, and bring comfort to our church body in prayer and through prayer.  We believe what James 5:16 teaches which says that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective and that when we confess and pray for one another that healing can begin.  Jesus modeled for us the importance of prayer in times alone with the Father and also taught His disciples how to pray for those in need.  We desire to live in this way as Jesus taught us.

The purpose of the prayer ministry team is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God’s love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to Jesus’ glory.

History has recorded that:

• The Power of Prayer has opened the Red Sea, closed the mouths of lions, quenched flames and set captives free
• The Purpose of Prayer is that God’s desires may be demonstrated on earth. When we pray, God’s will shall be done
• The Privilege of Prayer. Jesus says to ask and it shall be given, seek and we shall find, knock and the door will be opened
• Remember—when we pray, prayers go up to Heaven in worship, out into the world in work, and down to hell in warfare.

Philippians 4:7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
